However, as investors we think its a good idea to get a second opinion, so we augment our in-house skills by commissioning reports from experienced industry experts. These directors, producers and writers, examine our proposals from an artistic and technical point of view and make sure that all elements of a project look financially viable.
Neil Jones - Director and Producer
The multi award winning Neil Jones has produced and directed for Burn Hand Film Productions since 2004.
His feature films include The Feral Generation, The Bond and The Lost and Risen: The Howard Winstone story. To date Risen has won over 9 awards at international film festivals including best picture, best director and a Bafta for Stuart Brennan as best actor. Neil's latest feature film will be The Reverend starring Rutger Hauer.Paul Hyett - Special make up effects designer
Paul is one of the most highly regarded special make-up effects designers currently working in Europe.
His career began as an Effects Technician on productions such as The Hours and Gladiator. Paul established his own studio which produced award-winning work on films such as The Descent, Centurion, Harry Brown and Attack The Block.
His latest work can be seen in the upcoming The Woman In Black with Daniel Radcliffe.
Paul has been nominated for numerous international awards. His work has been profiled in the horror fanzine Fangoria and made the front cover three times. Paul's expertise is not limited to special effects. He has worked as a second unit/effects director on many features. Paul is quickly emerging as an upcoming new features director, well known for his unique vision.
Michael Riley - Producer
Michael Riley established Sterling Pictures in 1994 and has become of one the most prolific producers in the UK.
His fictional work includes fifteen feature films, many of which have won prizes at international film festivals. He was one of the youngest ever producers of a major TV drama serial (the BBC's $14m epic family saga IN A LAND OF PLENTY, nominated for a 2001 Royal Television Society award). His film for artist Zarina Bhimji was nominated for the 2007 Turner Prize and his documentary CHINA'S WILD WEST premiered at 2009 Sundance Film Festival. He produced three feature films in 2010/11 that are currently in post-production. A graduate of the Media II Film Business School in Rhoda, he sits on numerous film festival juries and UK Film Council panels. He is a member of BAFTA and The European Film Academy.
