The team behind the new biopic have been very tight lipped on all aspects and we now know two major things about the film; firstly it will be titled ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ and the second is that Naomi Ackie will be portraying the legendary singer. 

Bohemian Rhapsody’s writer Anthony McCarten has penned the script and it will be directed by Stella Meghie. They also have the blessing and backing of the Houston estate and now they have their star to play Whitney, in an interview Stella Meghie said: “We spent the better part of the last year in an exhaustive search for an actress who could embody Whitney Houston," Meghie tells The Hollywood Reporter. "Naomi Ackie impressed us at every stage of the process. I was moved by her ability to capture the stage presence of a global icon while bringing humanity to her interior life."
